How to Live a Good Life
There are any number of ways to measure a good life vs. a bad life.
What elements make up a good life?
When the end comes, what do you want to be remembered for? Your work? Your kids? Your businesses? Your dreams? Your failures?
For me, I’ve come to believe I want to be remembered by those who knew me as someone who gave every once of energy I could to my tribe. I want to be remembered as someone who stood tall, who hugged firmly, who cried openly, who loved deeply, who motivated with heart, and who dreamed big and failed even bigger.
That is my measure of a good life.
In a piece by T.C. Gunter on Medium, they write:
Playing it safe creates a starting point, but to give, as writers do, is to put oneself at risk. Yet, it’s the only way to get the best rewards, the real rewards that matter. Conversely, being reckless isn’t good because you’ve got no place to land once you’ve tried to fly. So, give yourself a landing zone, then take off.
Part of setting up your personal Board of Directors is to ensure you have your flight plan and your guidance on the ground. But then it is time to take off.
