Why I Wrote the Book Anything is Possible
A lot of people thought I was crazy ten years ago when I wrote Anything is Possible. Maybe it was a bit crazy. But it was also a way of life.
The Phrase “Anything is Possible” is not new. Believing it and making it a way of life was all me. I wrote the book, Anything is Possible, to inspire others to believe the same.
Let’s compare the definitions of these two words:
adjective: impossible
1. not able to occur, exist, or be done.
"a seemingly impossible task"
And now, the opposite:
adjective: possible
1. able to be done; within the power or capacity of someone or something.
As 2008 turned into 2009, I was determined to chase my goals and in so doing, I remember this phrase. I first started using it in 2002. Back then, I was a senior in high school and my best friend and I were on the tennis team together.
Neither one of us were Rafael Nadal, or anything remotely close. But we had the right spirit. And that spirit was this phrase. It was a phrase and an attitude I believed in so much that I wrote it with a Sharpie on my shoe to remind myself in the middle of matches that, while I may not be the best, my attitude would be. And I would believe it.
This way of life isn’t about becoming a billionaire. It is not about creating the next Amazon or Facebook or even roasting the world’s best coffee. It is singularly about creating the best you; the you that makes you want to get out of bed in the morning.
What does this mean for you?
