Dedor Joins Iowa AG in Call to Block 3D Guns in Iowa

August 9, 2018 (URBANDALE, IOWA) -- Independent Candidate for Iowa House, Richard Dedor of Urbandale, is joining Iowa Attorney General Tom Miller in a call to stop the publication of technical plans for making guns using 3D printers.

"Surely, we can all agree that untraceable and unregulated homemade guns does not mesh with the spirit of the Second Amendment in today's society. I stand with gun owners and those who are fighting to ensure safe communities in calling for these plans to be blocked from publication. I urge my Republican and Democrat opponents to join the Iowa Attorney General in this public safety issue."

U.S. District Court Judge Robert S. Lasnik granted a temporary restraining order barring the downloadable information from being posted. According to the Washington Post, Lasnik is expected to hold a hearing on August 10 to determine if the order should be made permanent.
