Iowa is Making Progress on Medical Marijuana

News came out this week that five dispensaries had been approved to sell medical marijuana throughout the state.

The Des Moines Register reported that these stores should be open by the end of the year

This is great news to the 400 Iowans who have been approved to purchase these products.

I am hopeful and am advocating to expand the list of qualifying medical conditions from the short list of cancer, multiple sclerosis, seizures, AIDS or HIV, Crohn’s disease, Lou Gehrig’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, and untreatable pain or a terminal illness that produces severe or chronic pain, nausea or severe wasting.
